Willard Wigan makes art so teeny one needs a microscope to see it! Charlie Chaplin dancing on the end of an eyelash? Yup, that's pretty teeny. The tail, of the elephant made from the fragment of a grain of sand, is a dust particle plucked from the air! Sometimes mere static moves the pieces. Find out what happened to Alice of Wonderland, what he uses as a paintbrush and what he answered when asked if he enjoys what he does! To hear him speak a bit more, about how he works in between heart beats, for example, watch this interview as well. All very amusing and interesting.
Does Nothing exist?

Wow, is this for real? Patience, yea, and inhaling your works of art as career pitfalls would be very aggravating. Cherie

the city in which I was born and grew up
And Now ...
I live, draw, design and paint in & out of my pistachio green home studio affectionately known as "the hut" at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado. I see the mountains from my window everyday and they are still as beautiful and as inspiring as the day we met. I have a little garden where I grow collard greens, chard, kale, bell and hot peppers, some other veggies and flowers too. I once lived and traveled around the Australian desert in a yellow VW bus for a year and picked peas, peaches, nectarines and nashi pears for a living.
I love bento boxes, chopsticks and bowls, bonsai trees, teas, tea cups and tea pots. I love all kinds of Festivals (art, film, music, moon, international, fiery foods, cycling, balloon). I LOVE Balloons and Lanterns, Yoga, Hot Springs and Spa Treatments, Sleeping outside in the Summertime, Riding my Bicycle, Dancing and Telemark Skiing. I want to get good at spinning POI!
I am Brazilian, British, Belgian and American. I used to wonder whether my art and paintings could really offer anything of true value to another human being. I no longer wonder. I used to struggle deeply with the idea that as an artist I was contributing more 'things' to our planet. I no longer struggle. This world is made of 'things'. They might as well be beautiful and inspiring, uplifting, fresh and heart opening! I think birthdays are special and love to celebrate my friends. Here's to a happy, brilliant and beautiful life we can each call our own!
